Location scouting

On Tuesday I had the opportunity to scout locations at the Historic Oakwood Cemetery in Raleigh, NC. Here are some pictures of possible locations for a scene that occurs early on in the script. Curiously enough, I found a gravestone with the last name of our lead actor. Foreshadowing? Bad omen? I hope not!

More fight choreography

More pictures of Doug Nydick and Charles B. Allen rehearsing for their fight scene. I worked with Doug on Saturday to develop the choreography, then worked with both Doug and Charlie on Sunday afternoon so that Charlie could learn the choreography. We plan to shoot this full scene near the beginning of February.

Stay tuned for more updates and pictures of location scouting soon!

The shooting schedule is being finalized this week- stay tuned for more updates on that. As of now, the first shooting date is scheduled for Friday, January 6th in Downtown Raleigh.

Meanwhile, schedule is not the only thing that is being worked on. Check out one of the props for the film that was recently purchased. A very significant piece of the story!

Working with actors

I spent the afternoon working with actors Charles B. Allen, Katherine Drew, and Abigail Cornell, all of whom were a pleasure to work with.

Because these actors are playing a family in a very intimate setting, I wanted them to be comfortable working with each other and acting with each other. What better way to do this than by spending an afternoon together?

We played a couple of games, talked about about several different scenes, watched several clips for reference, and took some goofy photos. I could not be more excited about working with these actors, and I am blessed to be able to do so. Stay tuned for more updates!

Teaser Poster!

The Unforgotten Teaser poster is released! Stay tuned for updates about working with actors!

Updates from 'Unforgotten'

Pre-production is moving ahead. The script is being adjusted with the final touches with feedback from actors and crew, and the schedule will be finalized in the next week.

I'll be meeting with Katherine Drew (the lead female), Charlie Allen (the male lead), and Abigail Cornell (the daughter of the lead characters) this weekend. Stay tuned for more updates and pictures from that meeting!

Table Read!

The table read for 'Unforgotten' was held last night- Very successful- I thoroughly enjoyed working with all the actors, meeting the new ones, and seeing the entire script read out. It was slightly overwhelming to have almost all the cast together at one location (None of the scenes have more than 3-5 characters at most), but I was so thrilled to see the amount of enthusiasm from all of the actors. Enjoy the pics, more to come.
